The Mixed Remixed Festival invites you to join us as a sponsor of the 2017 Festival.
The Festival, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a rare opportunity for organizations and companies to connect with the ever-growing community of multiracial individuals and families. More than 6.8 million people identify as Mixed; 2.8 million of that demographic are under 18. Today, 7 percent of all marriage are interracial according to the Census.
Your sponsorship of the Festival-the nation’s only entertainment event for the multicultural American family–makes a powerful statement of your company’s commitment to serving this growing but under-served community.
The Festival hosts film screenings, readings and a dynamic live performance. Families will enjoy an afternoon of craft-making and storytelling as part of the museum’s Target Free Family Day which attracts 600-800 attendees regularly.
The Festival attracts approximately 1000 people from all over the country. Read what the LA Times says about the event! Our current sponsors include Platinum Sponsor Focus Features, Silver Sponsor Mixed Chicks and Emerging Sponsor Home Advisor. For past years we have counted among our sponsors: Cheerios, Miss Jessie’s, Mixed Chicks, Poets & Writers, Center for the Mixed Voice, and Pitfire Artisan Pizza among others; in addition KPCC, Southern California’s largest public radio station, hosted a special panel discussion on diversity.
The Storyteller’s Prize Presentation–given to artists, scholars, companies, and community leaders who have illuminated and celebrated the Mixed racial and cultural experience in their work–will feature performances by talented musicians, comedians, and spoken word poets. In June 2014, Comedy Central’s hit comedic duo Key & Peele attended to receive a prize as well as the top officials of Cheerios marketing team. In 2015, the Daily Show’s Al Madrigal, Honey Maid and international best-selling author Jamie Ford attended to receive the Storyteller’s Prize. In 2016, film/tv/Broadway star Taye Diggs and his collaborator for the children’s book Mixed Me! attended to receive the prize.
We would be honored to have you share in this special event as a corporate sponsor.
